Wednesday, September 1st, 2010Need to activate my SIM card in Ericsson w200i, not sure how?
I bought a Sony Ericsson W200i, prepaid, to use while in Germany. I put the phone together but keep getting a reading of Inactive SIM instead of the provider name. I don’t speak German so calling the listed customer service number won’t help me, and I haven’t been able to find an answer in the Sony forums. Wondering if anyone might know what to do? I have the SIM card number, PIN numbers, etc., but don’t know where/when to plug them in…
See , the network provider needs to activate the sim card before u can start using their network … this hasnt been done … so there is nothing u can do on ur part … Try this … call ur own cell phone (from a diff phone obviously) … you are most likely to hear something like “this number doesnot exist” or ” number not active” … this will confirm what i have said … so go back to the place where u purchased ur sim
